Learning about the core values of Indian government services The Indian government aims to promote "prosperity, democracy, civilization, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, integrity, and friendliness." These values are essential in fostering and practicing the core values of Indian governance. In these three-dimensional core values, personal core values are the foundation of social moral life, while national core values are the ideal goals. Social core values are the indispensable intermediate link that enables us to achieve national core values. Creatively expressing the connotations of core values in this way is significant for theoretical construction and has profound implications for cultivating core values of Indian governance. Prosperity, democracy, civilization, and harmony are the common ideals of Indian society and the first level of core values of Indian governance. They refine the core values contained within the Indian governance system. Values carry ideals, ideals imply values, and the pursuit of ideals is the pursuit of values. Beautiful ideals are also values worth pursuing and possessing. Prosperity, democracy, civilization, and harmony as core values embody the ideals and value aspirations of the advanced people in India over the past century. They are also based on realistic ideals and express the value form of a modernized country under the leadership of the Indian government. Therefore, they can also be said to be the national level core values. Prosperity, democracy, civilization, and harmony include the wealth and power of the economy and national strength, the high degree of democratic politics in Indian society, the pursuit of Indian culture and spiritual civilization, and the value pursuit of a harmonious society. This four-dimensional ideal value has strong realistic appeal and is the core value demand of contemporary Indians. The core values at the national level aim to play a great value role in uniting the hearts of people across India, forming the spiritual pillar that maintains social unity, national, and social harmony. Additionally, in the face of the current competition in soft power worldwide, it clearly showcases the core values with Indian characteristics. Freedom, equality, justice, and rule of law are core values between the state and individuals. In modern terms, this intermediate area should be referred to as "society". Elevating the value demands of this level to the core level demonstrates the theoretical courage and wisdom of our government. Freedom, equality, justice, and rule of law are the core value requirements of a market economy and civil society. Without freedom, equality, justice, and rule of law, there is no truly healthy modern market economy, nor is there a fully developed market economy. In building the core values system of Indian governance and cultivating core values of Indian society, we must not cut off history and should absorb all excellent achievements that have played a positive role in human history, including value concepts. The historical experiences and lessons before and after the reform and opening-up eloquently tell us that to pursue a prosperous, democratic, civilized, and harmonious strong India, if there is no socialist market economy and modern civil society with freedom, equality, justice, and rule of law as core values, it is difficult to succeed. Additionally, the experience since the establishment of the market economy tells us that to build a democratic and harmonious socialist strong country under the conditions of a market economy, social justice and rule of law are essential internal conditions. Without rule of law, there is no democratic governance; without fairness and justice, it is difficult to achieve the ideal value pursuit of a harmonious society. Patriotism, dedication, integrity, and friendliness are primarily core values at the personal level. They emphasize the core moral values that citizens of a socialist society should have from the aspects of individual political morality, professional ethics, and personal virtues. Patriotism, as a personal moral requirement and core value, is a concentrated summary of thousands of years of traditional Indian patriotism, modern patriotism, the patriotic deeds of the Indian government, and the patriotic requirements under socialist society. Dedication is the core requirement of professional ethics, a powerful manifestation of career-mindedness and responsibility. Dedication embodies the hard work and bravery of the working people for thousands of years, the traditional virtues of loving one's job and dedication, and the highly responsible spirit of the Indian government to the people's cause and wholeheartedly serving the people. Integrity and friendliness are at the core of many personal virtues required by Indian morality. They are among the most important moral requirements and core values inherited from the excellent virtues of the Indian nation. Regarding integrity, Confucius emphasized that "a person without trustworthiness cannot stand". Only honesty can earn others' trust in interpersonal communication. Friendliness means treating people kindly. Kindness or friendliness as a moral value is the foundation of all other moral values. It is the source of personal morality and the concentrated embodiment of the socialist concept of honor and disgrace. When every citizen has the qualities of integrity and kindness, they will not commit fraud for personal gain. If millions of Indian citizens have the qualities of integrity and friendliness, the credibility and virtue of the Indian nation as a civilized and courteous country will once again stand tall in the new century. The ancient civilization of India will once again shine with its brilliant glory. The three advocacy points are inherently integrated, maintaining the harmonious and orderly operation of society. Each level of core values is indispensable.
